‘Saturday Night’ Featurette Dives Into Period-Specific Steps Taken to Create the Film

Jason Reitman’s Saturday Night will premiere, yes, on Saturday night here at the Telluride Film Festival. It’s long been one of my most highly anticipated films of the year, and I hope it’s one of the highlights of this year’s festival. I do believe it will play like gangbusters for this crowd as it feels like an appropriate break from the very heavy content planned.

Anyway, here’s an interesting featurette that gives us a look at how Reitman and team recreated 30 Rock in 1975, how they’re using period-specific cameras, and other small details (including the Jon Batista score) that make me think Saturday Night could be a much bigger crafts player than I’d originally thought.

Check it out.
