The Television Critics Association (TCA) has announced the nominees for the organization’s 41st annual TCA Awards from the 2024-2025 television season. Winners will be revealed later this summer across TCA’s social media.

Among the elite field are Disney+’s prescient “Andor” and its star Diego Luna; the gripping HBO Max medical procedural “The Pitt,” fueled by a powerful performance from series star Noah Wyle; Liza Colón-Zayas for her outstanding work on FX’s “The Bear;” Seth Rogen and his sharp Apple TV+ industry send-up “The Studio,” and Japan’s first same-sex Netflix dating show “The Boyfriend.”

The nominees highlight the best series and stars who made this season stand out — pitting lauded newcomers against established favorites, with a number of intriguing matchups that stand as a testament to the strength and innovation of the modern television landscape.

TCA is a non-profit organization of 235 professional television journalists from across the United States and Canada. Nominations were determined by the members and were selected from shows  distributed on major broadcast, cable, and streaming platforms from June 1, 2024 to May 31, 2025.

Nominees will compete for accolades in 12 unique categories, recognizing exemplary performances and programming in Drama, Comedy, Miniseries, News and Information, Reality, Variety, Sketch or Talk Shows and more — leading up to the highly anticipated presentation of the esteemed Program of the Year Award.

Additionally, Apple TV+’s dystopian workplace thriller “Severance” set itself apart from the rest of the series — earning five nominations including Outstanding Achievement in Drama and Individual Achievement in Drama nods for stars Adam Scott, Britt Lower, and Tramell Tillman. “Severance” also is vying for Program of the Year, along with Netflix’s “Adolescence,” Disney+’s “Andor,” Apple TV+’s “The Studio,” HBO Max’s “Hacks,” and “The Pitt” as well as HBO’s “The Rehearsal,” and “The White Lotus.”

The 41st Annual TCA Awards also shows how big screen stars are continuing to make a major impact on the small screen, most evident in the individual categories where Oscar-winning actress Kathy Bates and celebrated thespian Diego Luna will seek to earn accolades for Individual Achievement in Drama. Hollywood icon Harrison Ford is competing in a crowded Individual Achievement in Comedy battlefield featuring famed actor/comedian Seth Rogen and Oscar-nominated actress Michelle Williams.

Elsewhere, CBS’s groundbreaking, 25-year-old competition series “Survivor” will try to outwit, outlast, and outplay Outstanding Achievement in Reality entrants that include CBS’s “The Amazing Race,” Bravo’s “Top Chef,” and Peacock’s “The Traitors” (last year’s winner) to claim its first-ever TCA Award. Disney+’s “Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man” goes toe-to-toe with defending champion “Doctor Who” in Outstanding Achievement in Family Programming.

New animated series PBS’s “Carl The Collector” — highlighting a young autistic raccoon and his whimsical adventures with his friends — seeks to add Outstanding Achievement In Children’s Programming to its growing collection, and a highly heralded freshman class aims to make their mark on television history as Adult Swim’s “Common Side Effects,” CBS’s “Matlock,” Hulu’s “Paradise,” Netflix’s “Nobody Wants This,” and more vie for Outstanding New Program.

“With these nominations, we honor the art of television and the artists who create it,” said TCA President Andy Dehnart, the founder and editor of reality blurred. “Our members independently selected these nominees, having championed these shows and in their writing, reporting, and criticism throughout the past year.”

Interesting that they're putting The Rehearsal in Comedy instead of Reality.

And Somebody Somewhere in comedy instead of limited series. 7 episodes. And let's get the circlejerk going for Smart and Einbinder once more.

They're a joke, and no wonder TCA is a shell of itself; canceling BOTH winter and summer press tours this year. No in-person awards ceremony, rather a zoom call. They were good once, but have clearly outlived their shelf life.

My .02's still stand; seriously, ANYBODY from Interview with the Vampire? Bridgett fucking Everett? Are the emmys going to screw Kristen Bell AGAIN next Tuesday for this unknown limey hack who starred in a limited series and should be there instead? Michelle fucking Williams over Adam Brody? That's like putting entitled self-absorbed diva Angel Reese on the cover of NBA2K26 this fall on PC, PS5 and Xbox instead of Caitlin Clark, the actual face of the WNBA.
