The 31st Annual Screen Actors Guild Awards stream live on Netflix this weekend, Sunday, February 23 (8pm ET / 5pm PT). The Contending weighs in here with our SAG predictions across film and television. On the film side, Wicked dominated the nominations with 5 bids, including a surprise nomination for Jonathan Bailey. Will that broad support translate into wins, mainly for SAG ensemble? Or will Anora or Conclave sneak in and steal the top prize? Lead Actress also seems up in the air with Demi Moore and Mikey Madison vying for the win. The win and a great speech won’t have their normal impact as Oscar voting closed last week, but it will give a taste of who could win on Oscar night. Moore won the Golden Globe and Critics Choice awards over Madison, but Madison triumphed at BAFTA last weekend. The other races seem fairly sewed up unless Ariana Grande makes a very surprise win over Emilia Pérez‘s Zoe Saldaña.
On the TV front, we could see another Shōgun domination in the Drama Categories. On the Comedy front, all eyes are on Hacks to repeat their recent Emmy wins.
