The voting window for this year’s Oscar voting as been extended due to the devastating fires in Southern California. Variety’s Marc Malkin broke the story on Wednesday evening. The nominations will now be announced on Sunday, January 19, 2025–two days after its original date. The voting window opened today and was set to close on Sunday evening, but now the window will be extended to the end of day on January 14, 2025.
