LEGO® Celebrates ‘Piece By Piece’ With Minifig Generator
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

LEGO and Focus Features today released an official Piece By Piece Minifig Generator that allows you to replicate yourself but in LEGO. I tried this, but they don’t have a minifig hairline that recedes… whomp whomp. I wish they’d allow you to upload a photo and automatically match that to a LEGO minifig for you. THAT would be very cool, IMO.

Anyway, try this out and post your minifigs in the chat below! You can even opt for a picture with LEGO Pharrell Williams! Also, you can download the new original song “Piece By Piece” on your favorite platform here.

Finally, here’s my review of the film from Telluride. It’s a really fun movie!

Here’s the official release.

Focus Features is thrilled to announce the launch of the Piece By Piece LEGO®Minifigure Generator to celebrate the studio’s highly anticipated animated biopic, PIECE BY PIECE. This groundbreaking film, from Academy Award®winning director Morgan Neville, delves into the extraordinary life and career of cultural icon Pharrell Williams.

The Piece By Piece Minifigure Generator invites fans to embark on their own creative journey, allowing them to build and customize their very own digital LEGO® minifigures to resemble whoever they want to be—piece by piece. With a commitment to inclusivity, the generator boasts an impressive array of options including seven skin tones, over 60 hairstyles, and more than 90 outfit choices, including exclusive pieces from Pharrell’s renowned fashion brand, Billionaire Boys Club.

In addition to these customizable features, the generator offers 60 facial expressions directly inspired by scenes from the film. This ensures that fans can create minifigures that truly capture the essence of their personalities and favorite moments from the film PIECE BY PIECE. Users can generate a minifig version standing beside Pharrell, or create a solo version that can be saved as a profile picture.

The Piece By Piece LEGO® Minifigure Generator will be available on both mobile and desktop platforms starting September 20th. Whether you’re a fan of Pharrell Williams, or simply looking for a fun and creative way to engage with the film, this tool provides an interactive experience that brings the magic of the movie to life.

The generator is launching on the heels of Pharrell’s collaboration with the LEGO®  Group, to inspire everyone to unlock their creativity and unleash their limitless potential through LEGO Play. This includes the recent release of Over the Moon, a new LEGO set co-designed by Pharrell and the LEGO Group. Over the Moon is a space shuttle with a golden canopy and a vibrant jet stream of colors, inspired by Pharrell’s passion for space. It features the widest range of minifigure skin tones included in a LEGO® product, with seven in total. Pharrell also released a brand new original song from the film, also titled “Piece By Piece” which is performed by Pharrell and Princess Anne High School Fabulous Marching Cavaliers.

The minifigure generator was developed in collaboration with the marketing agency Bond and Tongal, the creator platform that co-produced the film’s animation.
