‘Hacks,’ ‘Adolescence’ Lead 2025 Cooler Awards

The Contending's Cooler Awards celebrates its 10th anniversary this year.

Hacks, Adolescence lead the 10th Annual Cooler Awards. Walton Goggins received two awards for his supporting work in two HBO series. 

HBO’s Hacks and Netflix’s Adolescence led The Contending’s 10th Annual Cooler Awards. Both series received three awards, including Comedy Series and Limited Series respectively. Both series also received lead and supporting performance awards. On the Drama Series front, HBO MAX’s The Pitt received awards for series and Noah Wyle’s lead performance. Severance‘s Britt Lower won lead actress for her dual role.

Actor Walton Goggins won two supporting performance awards for his work on HBO’s The White Lotus and The Righteous Gemstones. FX’s Dying For Sex also won two awards for Michelle Williams and Jenny Slate’s performances.

The 2025 Cooler Awards were voted on by the staff and readers of The Contending. The full list of winners follows below.

    Happy 10th Anniversary and glad to see The Pitt winning dramas.. Poor Mr Farrell didn't win here as well. I'm also huge admirer of Ms Milioti's role from that superb series but can't argue with Ms Williams' selection.
