You’ve hopefully heard our musings on this week’s podcast. Maybe 2-plus hours is too much for you? Or maybe you’re a visual person? Fear not, Team Contending made their final updates on our 2026 Oscar predictions pages! Check out the links below for predictions in all 24 categories. Make sure you’re bookmarking the page to check back frequently through the season as we move into the 2026 Oscar predictions, winners phase.

We kick things off with The Contending Consensus, an average of all of our predictions. Then, you’ll find individual category predictions broken out by members of Team Contending. Do you have a favorite predictor? Click on their name to see just their predictions!

Currently, Team Contending’s consensus picks has Sinners leading nomination morning with 15 Oscar nominations. If that holds true, then it would set a new record for most Oscar nominations received by a single film in Oscar history. And that does not include a potential (although unlikely) shock nomination for Miles Caton. Best Picture frontrunner One Battle After Another could net 14 nominations, according to our consensus predictions. Third place is Frankenstein with 12 predicted nominations. Hamnet rounds out the top four with 11 nominations.

We’ll see how this all shakes out.

We’ll update our predictions as soon as possible following Thursday’s 2026 Oscar nominations.

Until then…
