CANNES, FRANCE – May 15, 2025 — As the lights shine bright on the Croisette, WeAudition, the world’s leading international community of on-demand self-tape readers, joins forces with Latigo Films, Red Sea Media, Flex, and Roxstar Entertainment for a dynamic series of events celebrating film, storytelling, and creative empowerment during the 2025 Cannes Film Festival.

Thursday, May 15th – Spotlight on Latigo Films

The week kicks off with an exclusive celebration hosted by Latigo Films and Red Sea Media at the stunning WeAudition House.. The evening will toast Latigo’s impressive 2025 film slate, including:

  • “Not Without Hope”, directed by Joe Carnahan, starring Zachary Levi

  • “Bride Hard”, led by Rebel Wilson (June release)

  • “Off The Grid”, with Josh Duhamel and Greg Kinnear

  • “Hotel Tehran”, starring Liam Neeson

  • The newly announced “Neglected”, starring Josh Duhamel, Till Schweiger, and Dylan Sprouse

The event brings together notable talent and executives, including Latigo CEO David Lipper, Red Sea Media founder Roman Kopelevich, actors David Whelan, Dylan Sprouse, and supermodel Barbara Palvin.

Friday, May 16th – WeAudition: Championing Global Talent at Cannes

For the second year running, WeAudition proudly honors talent featured in the official Cannes selection. Last year, the platform spotlighted influential creatives like Romil Mod, casting director of All We Imagine Is Light (Grand Prix winner), and actors from the Oscar-winning Anora. In a historic previous event, WeAudition hosted a landmark panel with Leyna Bloom, the first trans actress of color to lead a Cannes film (Port Authority), underscoring the platform’s commitment to representation and forward-thinking storytelling.

Founded a decade ago by actors and entrepreneurs Darren Darnborough and Richard Cambridge, WeAudition has revolutionized the casting process. Thousands of actors around the world now book roles through its innovative platform — which allows performers to rehearse and self-tape with professional readers on demand. The platform also empowers actors to monetize their skills by reading for others, fostering a circular economy of talent and support within the entertainment industry.

Friday, May 16th – Celebrating Storytellers and a Decade of Innovation

The festivities continue with the International Screenwriters Association (ISA) presenting its annual Cannes Table Read Event, featuring “Nothing to Hide” by Grand Prize winners Allegra and Olivia Oxborough. Directed by Paul Lindsay, the live reading is a celebration of breakthrough voices and bold narratives.

Immediately following, WeAudition marks its 10-Year Anniversary with a celebration gathering its international creative community. This unforgettable evening brings together officially selected Cannes filmmakers, actors, and entertainment insiders for an inspiring night of connection, celebration, and shared vision.

Sunday, May 18th – Bold Conversations and Global Impact

Sunday morning, the WeAudition House, in partnership with Flex and ViCi Global, host “Brunch & Boldness: Youth, Fame & the Future of Film”. This intimate panel and power brunch explores the challenges and possibilities facing the next generation of filmmakers and creatives. The panel will be hosted by actor Dylan Sprouse, Kaitlyn Kemp, model Barbara Palvin. Flex and moderated by media personality Zara Durrani, a financial platform for business owners, supports the conversation as part of its commitment to entrepreneurial empowerment in the arts. ViCii Global is also sponsoring the event.

That evening, Campo Libre presents a special screening and salon discussion around “Dirty Coin: The Bitcoin Mining Documentary” — an eye-opening look at blockchain, data centers, energy innovation, and the human rights implications of digital finance.

Monday, May 19th – Cannes Content Creators Day

To close out the week, WeAudition, in collaboration with Roxstar Entertainment, presents Cannes Content Creators Day — a celebration of creativity in motion. From 11:30 AM to 3:00 PM, guests will enjoy gourmet French cuisine, crafted cocktails, live music, and full access to the estate grounds for bespoke content capture. The event also includes a Getty Images Portrait Studio, giving creators an iconic way to memorialize their Cannes experience.

From honoring Cannes talent and future-facing conversations to world-class networking and storytelling, WeAudition’s Cannes 2025 program exemplifies its mission: to elevate global talent, foster meaningful collaboration, and shape the future of performance.
