River Valley Film Festival (RVFF) is proud to announce that they are officially relaunching for their first annual festival. The festival will take place at the AMC Williamsport 11 in Downtown Williamsport, PA. The festival will run from Thursday July 17, through Sunday July 20, 2025. Submissions will be open February 1, 2025!
The River Valley Film Festival will highlight Williamsport’s rich history and culture, exposing the city to the filmmaking world! While Williamsport is known around the world as the birthplace of Little League Baseball as well as the annual host to the Little League World Series, the city is also home to unique logging history. Once known as the Lumber Capital of the World, Williamsport once had more millionaires per capita than any other city in the world. It’s due to this illustrious history that the city is full of beautiful architecture and a wondrous community.
There are currently plans in place to hold free screenings across the city to help raise money for local Little League teams, as well as other local non-profit organizations, and community groups. It is the goal of the festival to incorporate the local community as much as possible in all of their events, to help build and bring the community together, and offer another opportunity for Williamsport to Welcome the World to our beautiful city.
Embracing the history of the city, as well as the benefits of the river, RVFF also plans to hold events and screenings near/on the Susquehanna River. These screenings and events plan to feature guest speakers from the community, as well as the film industry, with panels to be held riverside during the festival dates.
