Montclair Film announced the return of its annual Movie Night Under the Stars summer series. Screening outdoors at various locations around Montclair, all films will be free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics.
The series kicks off with WICKED: SING-ALONG shown on Lackawanna Plaza (near Crane Park) on Saturday June 21 (rain date June 22). This film is presented in partnership with the Montclair Center BID. The venue opens and pre-show activities start at 6:00pm and the film will start at 7:00pm. Guests are encouraged to wear pink & green!
On Sunday, July 20 (rain date July 27), Montclair Film will feature the cult classic, DAZED AND CONFUSED in Essex County Anderson Park. It will be introduced by the Director and Producer of MAKING DAZED, Kahane Corn Cooperman. The venue will open at 7:00pm and the film begins at sunset.
On Thursday, July 31 (rain date August 7), in partnership with the Yogi Berra Museum & Learning Center and Autoland Toyota, Montclair Film will screen THE SANDLOT in Montclair’s Nishuane Park. The venue will open at 7:00pm with a pre-show opportunity to sign up for “Yogi’s Big Catch Challenge”, the Museum’sSeptember 21 GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt for the Largest Game of Catch in Yogi Berra Stadium. The film begins at sunset.
Finally on Saturday, August 23 (rain date August 24), they present THE WILD ROBOT in Essex County Brookdale Park Archery Field. The venue will open at 7:00pm and the film begins at sunset. While registration is not required, it is recommended that you register on their website to get up to date information in the event of a weather delay.
