Top Ten Tuesday: The Best Portrayals of Santa Claus
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Happy Tuesday, dear readers! Each week, we’ll rank the top 10 films in a specific category. While we aim to tie these lists to big releases, that won’t always be the case. Our goal? For you to enjoy, share your own lists, and join in on a lively, friendly debate. This is an interactive space to build community here at The Contending.

No fancy intros, no long essays – just a category and a list. Sound good?

I’m currently battling the results of food poisoning, so forgive me for keeping it extra short and sweet this week. In time for Christmas, let’s take a look at the best portrayals of Jolly Old Saint Nicholas himself.

Honorable mention to Billy Bob Thornton in Bad Santa (2003). While I don’t think he quite fits this list, his performance is absolutely bonkers and is worth mentioning, even if he isn’t the real thing.

Merry Christmas, you filthy animals. Let’s get straight to it.

What do you agree/disagree with? What portrayal of Santa is the best of all time?
