HamptonsFilm announced today the 34th annual edition of the Hamptons International Film Festival will take place October 2-12, 2026. The 11-day festival will feature screenings and events across the Hamptons.

The festival will begin accepting submissions via FilmFreeway in February. To submit a project and for more details on upcoming deadlines please visit filmfreeway.com/HamptonsFilm.

HamptonsFilm will be running a sale on Founder Passes in the month of December and available for purchase at hamptonsfilmfest.org.

“As we look ahead to the 34th edition of the Hamptons International Film Festival, we’re excited to continue to bring audiences eleven days of screenings and events across the East End,” said David Nugent, Chief Creative Officer of HamptonsFilm. “Each year, our filmmakers and audiences inspire us to grow, experiment, and celebrate bold new voices in cinema. With submissions opening in February and an exciting slate of year-round programs, from our Screenwriters Lab to SummerDocs and our beloved outdoor screenings, we can’t wait to welcome everyone back this October.”

In addition to the fall festival, HamptonsFilm will continue some of the highlights of their year-round programming, including:

    • The 26th edition of the HamptonsFilm Screenwriters Lab (April 10-12) which champions the artistic visions of up-and-coming filmmakers from around the world, and will pair selected fellows with established writers and creative producers for a weekend of one-on-one mentorship. Submissions for the Screenwriters Lab can be made here: https://filmfreeway.com/HamptonsFilmScreenwritersLab.
  • The upcoming 18th annual SummerDocs documentary showcase will feature a series of banner screening events hosted throughout the summer season, highlighting some of the year’s awards contenders and most anticipated documentary features. HamptonsFilm will also plan to host their Outdoor Screening Series featuring family favorite films once again this summer.
