“Sunday In the Park With George” features the Scavo’s sexual crisis, Bree’s emotional affair, Gabby’s hot salsa, and Sad Susan’s goodbye.

Desperate Housewives episode twenty-one, “Sunday In the Park With George,” explores the time-honored theme of couples who go TEN WHOLE DAYS without sex. Yes, Lynette and Tom Scavo find that work and family sometimes don’t mix, and romance is the thing that suffers. Speaking of suffering, Susan’s Mike-induced misery may come to an end as she explores his past. Will she uncover information that sends her running to his arms?

In case you’re wondering who’s spending “Sunday In the Park With George,” well that would be Bree. How does she react when Edie rightly calls her out on her emotional affair with the pharmacist? Finally, Gabby confronts Carlos about her “accidental” pregnancy, and he sinks even lower by blaming his dead mother. Meanwhile, John the Gardener wants to square up with Carlos and “do the right thing.” Uh huh. Good luck with that.

Oh and we’re treated to the Felicia Tillman / Paul Young showdown you didn’t know you always wanted.

With only two episodes left, we’re winding down Desperate Housewives Revisited. If you’ve never seen Desperate Housewives, then you need to start before we cover the finale. The Emmy-winning series streams on Hulu / Disney+. Catch up with our podcasts here! Next week, we look at episode twenty-two, “Goodbye For Now,” which introduces mysterious new neighbors on Wisteria Lane.
