Joey, Megan, and Clarence offer their favorite films and television series of the year in our annual Best of 2025 at the Halfway Point segment.

We’re halfway there. Yes, for many reasons, 2025 already feels like a really long decade, but we’ve only just now reached the halfway point. So, as an annual tradition, it’s time for us to take stock of our favorite films and television series so far this year. Listen to see what we all consider worthy of mention in our Best of 2025 at the Halfway Point segment. What are some of your favorite films and television shows of the year? Sound off in the comments below!

In related news, on Monday, The New York Times and Kyle Buchanan dropped the list of the best films of the 21st century as voted on by critics and filmmakers. They also provided a handy tool through which average Janes and Joes can list theirs. Naturally, we can’t resist a list, so we tacked on our favorites (so far) of the 21st century.

<DarkTurn>Too bad we won’t live to complete the list…</DarkTurn>

But first, Megan returns from the Bentonville Film Festival with a full recap of its events and films.

We close our podcast with the Flash Forward to the media we’re most anticipating in the upcoming week.

If you haven’t heard it yet, take a listen to our spin-off series, Desperate Housewives Revisited, where Joey and Clarence look back at the first season of Marc Cherry’s 2004 phenomenon.

We’re deeply appreciative for your shares, likes, and positive ratings on Apple Podcasts or Spotify.
