46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy Award Nominations Announced

NEW YORK (May 1, 2025) – Nominations for The 46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards were announced today by The National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (NATAS).  The awards will be presented in two ceremonies:

  • News Night Ceremony – Wednesday, June 25th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. EDT

  • Documentary Night Ceremony – Thursday, June 26th, 2025 at 7:00 p.m. EDT

The 46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards will be presented live at the Palladium Times Square in New York City, and will be streamed live on the web at watch.theemmys.tv and via The Emmys® apps for iOS, tvOS, Android, FireTV, and Roku (full list at apps.theemmys.tv).

“We are thrilled to recognize the extraordinary talent and relentless commitment of this year’s nominees,” said Adam Sharp, President and CEO of NATAS. “In a rapidly evolving media landscape, their innovative storytelling and unwavering pursuit of truth continue to inspire and inform audiences worldwide. The 46th Annual News & Documentary Emmy® Awards honor programming content from more than 2200 submissions that originally premiered in calendar-year 2024, judged by a pool of more than 980 peer professionals from across the television and streaming/digital media News & Documentary industry.

All voting was tabulated by the accounting firm of Lutz & Carr, LLP.
